Color Out of Space (2019) is a science fiction/horror film written and directed by Richard Stanley. It is based on the short story "The Colour Out of Space" by H. P. Lovecraft. It stars Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, Elliot Knight, Madeleine Arthur, Q'orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong. The story revolves around the Gardner family, who have to deal with the sinister and gruesome effects of an unexplained meteor crash on their property. This scene depicts the family well- the water supply being swiftly contaminated by a fatal alien toxin.
